  Charles Guest #230921D/853899 There I was…free, head out the window, ears flapping in the wind, tongue hanging out of my mouth with saliva painting the cement. I was living my life! My tail was wagging, and I let my wet nose lead me to all the things I thought were priorities. Chasing tail was my forté. Running behind every female dog, chasing cats, and burying my bone was a dirty life for a hound like me. Although I was careful (you know, I couldn’t afford to catch fleas or ticks), my collar didn’t have an exclusive owner to call if I got lost…and that’s exactly what I did…got lost. Who knew I would age so fast. Unfortunately, I pissed on the wrong hydrant and that led me to being caged in like an animal. Being here has forced me to reflect on my doggish ways. Watching people pass me by, as I sat with my puppy dog eyes, taught an old dog new tricks. I’m no longer a wild dog who wants to run free. I crave to be domesticated. I have such a different view of life now. I’m probably one of a few dogs who has learned a lesson enough to now see in color. My priorities have shifted and I no longer want to chase tails, I want someone to throw a frisbee so that I can chase that…and bring it back with my ears flapping in the wind, tongue slightly hanging out of my mouth, with my saliva painting the grass. I want to live life with my new found companion….please, if you’re a good “woman”, adopt my friendship. Date of birth: 7/31/1986
