Hello my friends name is Derek. He's one of my best friends and I've stood by him his entire stay and I will continue to do so. Derek is 6'4" about 270 lb, lean build, dark hair, blue eyes, goofy personality, likes to laugh and joke around. Knows how to take a joke. He's a very kind person. Loves everyone and just wants to help everybody. I met him about 15 years ago. He was going through a rough patch but still manage to always crack a smile. He has a grown son who visits him quite frequently. His mother and father also still around and continue to visit him in prison. He is in a mentoring program to mentor young men. He spends a lot of time working out, reading going to college. He has a car enthusiast. Mostly older cars but still likes to learn about the newer cars. He does amazing leather work. He is going to college to be an addiction counselor. He wants to help people and stop people from going down the road he went down. He also enjoys fishing, camping, pretty much anything outdoors and is not afraid to get his hands dirty. He is always been a hard worker. Grew up doing carpentry work and had a pretty successful career of it. He is a very independent person and does not rely on anyone.
