There was a time in my life where I took a turn down the wrong street. I’m not a career criminal or anything like that. As a teen, I got involved with the wrong crowd and this is where I landed, first adult charge. At times this road gets dark. You start to feel like you’re out of touch with the world and outside correspondence is what gives a person some light on this journey.
I can’t say that it’s been all bad. I’ve lost some and gained a lot. Some think that people in prison don’t do anything positive with the time. I’m not one of them. I took this time to get focused. I learned about myself first. Then took some programs and also attained my GED and I’m currently enrolled in college. I plan to take home at least an Associate's Degree, by the time I go home in a couple of years. I also write poems, my own lyrics, and workout. Just some of the things I do with my time to stay out of the way, and out of trouble. I’m on the right path now.
I am a firm believer not to judge a book by it's cover. Some say I look mean or “unapproachable”. That’s the furthest thing from the truth. There’s a lot of humor amongst a lot of other great characters behind the demeanor.
I am looking forward to building friendships with likeminded people who have positive vibes and uplifting energy. Hopefully, I can be that for you as well.
