I’m Michael: a proud Girl Dad to three brilliant future-rulers of the world (ages 14, 11 and 8), a devoted follower of Christ, and probably the biggest nerd you know. Seriously, I wear my passions like a badge of honor (including the single, slightly questionable prison tattoo I earned as a rite of passage).
Around here, they call me a "square." I’m taking that as a high compliment. I’ve opted out of prison labor to spend my time in self-enrichment, focusing on my faith and becoming a dedicated student of history. You could say I’m using this time to level up.

Fair warning: I am a militant believer in the Oxford comma. You’ve been warned, and yes, that is my only hill to die on. When I’m not studying, I’m mentally queued up for the next Comic-Con or Renaissance Fair. I’m a massive film buff, a dedicated gamer, and a lover of all things Sci-Fi. I’m also in the home stretch of a fantastic year-long divorce (the sarcasm is intentional). My sense of humor is described as "questionable," but I guarantee I'm funnier than a barrel full of monkeys (unless they're wearing tiny hats).
